About this tool
Find out exactly how many days there are between two dates — for deadlines, notice periods, trips, project plans or countdowns. The result also shows weeks and days, weekdays (Monday to Friday), weekend days, hours and approximate months and years.
How to use it
- Choose a start date (it defaults to today) and an end date.
- Tick “Include the end date” if both the first and last day should be counted.
- Read the total days and the breakdown below.
Good to know
- Weekdays count Monday to Friday only; public holidays are not removed.
- If the end date is before the start date, the dates are counted in reverse and the result is still shown.
- Leap years are handled automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Should I include the end date?
Include it when counting a period like a holiday or rental where both the first and last day count. Leave it off for a simple difference, e.g. from today until a deadline.
Does it remove public holidays?
No. Holidays differ by country, so weekdays are counted as Monday to Friday. Subtract any holidays that apply to you.
