About this tool
Generate random passwords using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator. Choose the length and which character types to include, then copy the password into your password manager.
How to use it
- Set the length with the slider (8 to 64 characters).
- Tick the character types you need.
- Press Generate, then Copy.
Good to know
- Passwords are created with crypto.getRandomValues, not Math.random.
- At least one character from each selected type is always included.
- Generated passwords are never stored or sent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a password be?
16 characters or more with mixed character types is a strong choice for most accounts.
Can I exclude confusing characters?
Yes. Turn on 'Avoid look-alikes' to skip characters such as O, 0, l and 1.
